Institute of Applied Dermatology is a place where you can learn, experience and train with the evidence-based integrative treatment team that focuses on chronic skin diseases, community level awareness, and public health. You will gain exposure to various systems of medicine including Allopathy, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy and Yoga therapy and you will be directly involved in learning how their integration works wonders in the field of chronic dermatology care.
By volunteering with us you can be a part of the integrative research team working on providing care for chronic skin diseases like lymphatic filariasis, lichen planus, psoriasis, vitiligo, and others. You will have opportunities to work on developing new treatment modalities for chronic dermatological diseases or to help develop a software for image acquisition and image analysis aimed at diseases that affect pigmentation like vitiligo, and also, to improve the quality of life in patients suffering from chronic skin conditions.
In addition, you can be a part of well-developed community-service programmes that focuses on
- HIV/AIDS awareness within a community
- Round the clock support of children in need of care and protection, and
- Study of target groups for assessing TB prevalence and vulnerability in an area.
